SSC Sub-Inspector Recruitment 2026 – Educational Qualification (As on 30.09.2026)

• Sub-Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police and SI (GD) in CAPFs
  Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University or equivalent.
• Sub-Inspector (SI) (Fire) in CISF
  Bachelor’s degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised University OR
  Matriculation / 10th or equivalent + 03 years Diploma in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical / Automobile / Chemical / Mining / Aeronautical / Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent from a recognised University / Board / Institution.
  Note: Higher qualifications such as B.Tech / M.Tech in the relevant fields are allowed as value addition provided the basic Diploma qualification is fulfilled.

SSC Sub-Inspector Recruitment 2026 – Age Limit (As on 01.08.2026)

• All posts except SI (Fire) in CISF: 20 to 25 years
  (Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.2001 and not later than 01.08.2006)
• SI (Fire) in CISF: 18 to 30 years
  (Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1996 and not later than 01.08.2008)

Relaxation of Upper Age Limit:

• +5 Years for SC / ST
• +3 Years for OBC (NCL)
• Persons with Disabilities:
  • +10 Years for UR
