GSL Recruitment 2026 – Educational Qualification

1. Assistant Superintendent (Hindi Translator)

• Bachelor’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at degree level + minimum 01 year Diploma in Hindi translation OR Bachelor’s degree in any subject with PG Diploma / Degree in Hindi / Hindi translation.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification relevant experience in translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa.

2. Junior Supervisor (Safety-Electrical)

• 03 years full time Diploma in Electrical Engineering + 1 year full time Diploma in Industrial Safety.
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification relevant supervisory experience.

3. Junior Supervisor (Substation)

• 03 years full time Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering + valid 33KV supervisor license.
• Minimum 2 years experience in operation & maintenance of substations / transformers / switchgears.

4. Technical Assistant (Mechanical / Electrical/Electronics / Shipbuilding / Instrumentation / Civil)

• 03 years full time Diploma in the respective Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in the line.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Auto CAD (for Mechanical & Shipbuilding).

5. Nurse (Male)

• B.Sc. Nursing OR Minimum 2 years full time Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery.
• Minimum 2 years working experience.

6. Shipwright Fitter / Welder / Instrument Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic / Khalasi / Safety Steward / EOT Crane Operator / 3G Welder / Painter

• Relevant ITI / SSC + Trade Certificate / Certification Course as applicable.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in shipbuilding industry (preference for NAC / Shipyard experience).

7. Steward – Cook

• SSC with minimum 10 years experience in cooking and catering management (preferably from Armed Forces Officers’ Mess / IN Ships).

Note: Adequate working knowledge of Konkani / Marathi along with Hindi & English is desirable for most posts.

• Assistant Superintendent (Hindi Translator) – OBC: 36 years
• Junior Supervisor / Technical Assistant / Nurse / Most Trade Posts – UR/EWS: 33 years
• Steward – Cook – UR/EWS: 41 years

Relaxation of Upper Age Limit:

• +5 Years for SC / ST
• +3 Years for OBC (NCL)
• PwBD: +10 Years (UR), +13 Years (OBC), +15 Years (SC/ST)
• Ex-Servicemen: As per Government Policy

• Technical Assistant / Nurse (Male): 1st Year – Rs.31,200/- | 2nd Year – Rs.32,800/- | 3rd Year – Rs.34,500/-
• Shipwright Fitter / Welder / Instrument Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic / Khalasi / Safety Steward / EOT Crane Operator: 1st Year – Rs.28,700/- | 2nd Year – Rs.30,200/- | 3rd Year – Rs.31,800/-
