Recruitment Overview

CPCL has invited online applications for 60 Junior Engineering Assistant (JEA)-IV posts in Production, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines on regular basis. Candidates with 3-year Diploma and minimum 3 years relevant post-qualification experience in continuous process industries can apply. Selection will be through Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Skill, Proficiency and/or Physical Test (SPPT).

CPCL Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria (As on 01.07.2026)

• Junior Engineering Assistant (JEA)-IV (Production):
  • Qualification: 3 years Diploma in Chemical / Petroleum / Petrochemical Engineering / Tech. OR B.Sc. with Chemistry as major subject with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC against reserved posts)
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant post-qualification experience in Continuous Process Units of Refining / Chemical / Petro-chemical / Fertilizer / Gas Processing Industry (Fired Heaters, Exchangers, Pumps & Compressors, Distillation Columns, Reactors, High-Pressure Vessels, ETP, Cooling Towers, Tank Farm, Pressurized Storage Bullets, Pump House etc.)
• Junior Engineering Assistant (JEA)-IV (Mechanical):
  • Qualification: 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC / PwBD against reserved posts)
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant post-qualification experience in maintenance of rotary equipment (Process Pumps / Compressors / Turbine) and stationery equipment (boilers, heat exchangers, column vessels, piping, valves, tanks) in Refinery / Petro-chemical / Chemical / Fertilizer / Power Plant / large industrial establishments
• Junior Engineering Assistant (JEA)-IV (Electrical):
  • Qualification: 3 years Diploma in Electrical / Electrical and Electronics Engineering with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC / PwBD against reserved posts)
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant post-qualification experience in maintenance of Electrical equipment (Motors, Transformers, UPS, Battery banks, Generators, HT & LT switchgear, VFDs) in continuous process industry (Refinery / Petrochemical / Chemical / Fertilizer / Power plants). Ability to read, understand and troubleshoot control circuits required
• Junior Engineering Assistant (JEA)-IV (Instrumentation):
  • Qualification: 3 years Diploma in Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Electronics / Instrumentation & Control / Electronics & Communication with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC against reserved posts)
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant post-qualification experience in maintenance of process control instrumentation in Refinery / Petrochemical / Chemical / Fertilizer / large process industries. Knowledge of Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance, Field instruments, Control Valves, DCS / PLCs, ability to read P&ID and logic diagrams, generate calibration reports

CPCL Recruitment 2026 – Age Limit (As on 01.07.2026)

• Upper Age Limit for all posts: 30 Years

Age Relaxation:

• +5 Years for SC/ST
• +3 Years for OBC (NCL)
• PwBD: +10 Years (UR), +13 Years (OBC), +15 Years (SC/ST)
• Ex-Servicemen: As per Government rules
