2 years relevant experience in teaching / industry / research is desirable.
The candidates should possess the minimum educational qualifications prescribed by the UGC/AICTE guidelines.
Preference will be given to the Ph.D. degree holders in the relevant field and publications in refereed journals. Academic and industry experience is desirable.
Assistant professor in Business Analytics
M.Sc. / M.E./ MCA / MBA with expertise knowledge in computer applications, programming (R / Python), artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data and machine learning. or
The candidate who completed under graduation in computer science / computer applications / business analytics with post graduate in computer science / computer applications / management.
Assistant Professor in Computer Science & Engineering
M.E. / M.Tech. with expertise knowledge in computer applications, programming and system administration and First Class or equivalent either in B.E. / B.Tech or M.E. / M.Tech.
Assistant professor in Textile
i. M.E. / M.Tech. / Master’s in Textile Design / Textile Technology / Technical Textiles / Apparel / Fashion / Textile Chemistry / Fiber Science subjects with First Class or equivalent either in B.E. / B.Tech. or M.E. / M.Tech. or
ii. A Master’s degree with 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed in Textile and Clothing science from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate who has cleared the National Eligibility Test NET / SLET / SET will be given preference.
iii. Preference will be given to the candidates having Ph.D. degree in Textile / Technical Textiles / Apparel / Fashion or any other relevant allied discipline of textiles.
Assistant professor in English
The minimum requirements of a good academic record, 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the master’s level.
Preferably qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET), or an accredited test (State Level Eligibility Test – SLET/SET) / Ph.D.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of Textiles and Management (SVPITM) is an autonomous institution under the Indian Ministry of Textiles. It was established on December 24, 2002, in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu and is approved by AICTE. Its courses focus on textiles and textile management education.School Director There is no permanent director for this institute. The current director is C. Rameshkumar, who has published 50 plus papers in Indian and international journals. He has conducted research work on the cut resistance behaviour of DREF yarn fabrics. He previously served at Parisutham Institute of Technology and Science, Thanjavur as Director of Academics. When Rameshkumar’s term as a director is over, he will be succeeded by MK Gandhi who is currently acting director. Gandhi previously worked in NIFT in Chennai.
