SER Recruitment 2023 – Qualification details

Group ‘C’ Level-4/Level-5
  • Level-4: 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent from a recognized Board/University and for the skill test prescribed dictation speed of 80 W.P.M. duration time 10 minutes and transcription time is 50 minutes (English) and 65 minutes (Hindi) for the post of Jr. Stenographer.
  • Level-5: A University Degree or its equivalent.
Group ‘C’ Level-2/Level-3
  • Passed 12th (Plus-II stage) or its equivalent examination. Educational qualification must be from a Govt. recognized Board/Council.
    Note :- For appointment against Sports quota in Technician-III, the minimum educational qualification is 10th pass. However, the training period for such sports quota appointees will be 03(three) years, unless they pass / possesses ITI qualification in the relevant trade, in which case it will be six months.
Group ‘D’ Level-1
  • Matriculation Passed or ITI Passed or equivalent

Sports norms for Level-2/3 and Level-4/5:

Level-4/Level-5
  • (a) At least 3 rd Position in any of the Championships/event in the World Cup (Junior/Youth/Senior Category) / World Championships (Junior/ Senior Category)/ Asian Games (Senior Category)/ Commonwealth Games (Senior Category), Youth Olympics, Davis Cup (Tennis), Champions Trophy (Hockey), Thomas/Uber Cup (Badminton).
Level-2/Level-3
  • a) Represented the Country in any of the Championships/events in the World Cup (Junior/ Senior Category)/ World Championships (Junior/ Senior Category)/ Asian Games (Senior Category)/ Commonwealth Games (Senior Category) Or
    b) At least 3rd position, in any of Championships / Events in the Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category)/ Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior /Senior Category) / South Asian Federations (SAF) Games (Senior Category)/ USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior Category) Or
    c) At least 3rd position in Senior/ Youth/ Junior National Championships. Or
    d) At least 3 rd Position in National Games Organized under aegis of Indian Olympic Association Or
    e) At least 3rd Position in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities Or
    f) 1 st Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category)

  • A Willing and Eligible Candidates should send their applications, filled in all respects along with the self attested enclosures and Annexures duly certified, by Post, to this address:
    The Chairman, Railway Recruitment Cell, Bungalow No.12A, Garden Reach, Kolkata-700043 (Near BNR Central Hospital).
  • The applications should be sent in a closed envelope with superscription “Application against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) recruitment for the year 2023-24”. LEVEL-1 or LEVEL-2/3 or LEVEL-4/5
