SACON Recruitment 2025: The Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History (SACON) has released a notification on 03.06.2025 at sacon.in for the recruitment of 7 Project Associate-I, Project Assistant (Ecology), Project Associate-I (RS & GIS), IT Officer, and Data Entry Operator posts on a contractual basis. Eligible candidates can apply online from 05.06.2025 to 22.06.2025 for research and support roles in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, focusing on ornithology, ecology, and conservation.

SACON Recruitment 2025 – Qualification Details
Project Associate-I
Essential: Postgraduate Degree (M.Sc.) in Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Zoology, Wildlife Biology, Conservation Biology, Biodiversity Studies, Ecological Sciences, or related fields with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university. Desirable: Research experience in wildlife conservation, field studies, or biodiversity monitoring.
Project Assistant (Ecology)
Essential: Degree (B.Sc.) in Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Ecology, or related fields from a recognized university. Desirable: Fieldwork experience in ecological studies or bird monitoring.
Project Associate-I (RS & GIS)
Essential: Postgraduate Degree (M.Sc.) in Remote Sensing, GIS, Geoinformatics, Environmental Sciences, or related fields with a minimum of 55% marks. Desirable: Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and experience in spatial data analysis for ecological research.
IT Officer
Essential: Degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields, or a Degree with relevant IT certifications. Desirable: Experience in managing IT infrastructure or databases in research organizations.
Data Entry Operator
Essential: Degree in any discipline or B.E./B.Tech. with proficiency in computer applications. Desirable: Experience in data entry or database management in research projects.
Note: Candidates must upload self-attested scanned copies of degree certificates, mark sheets, and experience certificates (if applicable) during the online application by 22.06.2025. Originals must be presented during verification.

Project Associate-I, Project Assistant (Ecology), Project Associate-I (RS & GIS): Maximum 35 years as on 22.06.2025.
IT Officer, Data Entry Operator: Maximum 30 years as on 22.06.2025.
Age Relaxation: SC/ST: 5 years; OBC: 3 years; PwBD: 10 years; PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years; PwBD (OBC): 13 years, as per Central Government norms.

Download the official notification for “Project Associate and Other Posts 2025” in PDF format. Review eligibility criteria, including educational qualifications (M.Sc./B.Sc./B.E./B.Tech.), age limits (30–35 years), and desirable skills (e.g., GIS proficiency, fieldwork experience).
Access the online application portal at sacon.in/careers from 05.06.2025. Register using a valid, active email ID and mobile number, which must remain active until the recruitment process is complete.
Fill the online application form with accurate details, including personal information, educational qualifications, and research/IT experience (if applicable).
