SACON Recruitment 2024 – Qualification Details

Project Associate-I (Ecology)
    Essential Qualification : Post-graduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks in geology, earth sciences, geomorphology, environmental geography, geosciences, environmental sciences, or any other allied disciplines from a recognized university.
    Desirable Qualifications :

  • Keen interest in cave and karst conservation, and related environmental issues;
  • skill in identification/classification of invertebrates and vertebrates, and in sampling and preserving techniques;
  • willingness to reside in remote locations with challenging conditions, and travel extensively by both road and sea between the islands;
  • proficiency in cave exploration and mapping, SRT technique, free climbing, and rock climbing;
  • familiarity with data analysis and GIS tools; and
  • proficiency in Hindi (speaking, reading, and writing).
Project Associate-I (Geology)
    Essential Qualification : Post-graduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks in geology, earth sciences, geomorphology, environmental geography, geosciences, environmental sciences, or any other allied disciplines from a recognized university.
    Desirable Qualifications :

  • Keen interest in cave and karst explorations in remote locations;
  • skill in identification and characterization of geomorphological features and rock formations;
  • familiarity with geochemistry including soil and water chemistry and related analytical techniques;
  • proficiency in cave exploration and mapping, GIS tools, SRT technique, free climbing, and rock climbing; and
  • proficiency in Hindi (speaking, reading, and writing).
Research Associate-I
    Essential Qualification : Ph.D. in life sciences (Zoology/Wildlife Biology/Wildlife Science/Conservation Biology/Biodiversity Studies/Ecological Sciences or any other allied disciplines) from a recognized university.
    Desirable Qualifications :

  • Competence in identification of wild birds and mammals;
  • professional experience in the field of bird/wildlife hazard management issues;
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • proficiency in English and Hindi, and
  • possession of valid two-wheeler and four-wheeler driving license.
Research Associate-I
    Essential Qualification : Post-graduate degree (M.Sc.) with a minimum of 55% marks in life sciences or environmental sciences (Zoology/Wildlife Biology/Wildlife Science/ Conservation Biology/Biodiversity Studies/Forestry/Ecological Sciences/Environmental Studies or any other allied disciplines) from a recognized university.
    Desirable Qualifications :

  • Competence in identification of wild birds and mammals;
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and iii) proficiency in English and Hindi.
