NIT Puducherry Recruitment 2024 – Educational Qualification details

Deputy Registrar
  • Educational :Master’s degree In any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA / UGC point scale with good academic record from a recognized University/Institute.
  • Experience :i) 9 years experience of Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs.61300/- and above with 3 years of experience in educational administration, or
    ii) Comparable experience in research establishment and/ or other institutions of higher education, or
    iii) 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar in the Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- or equivalent post. Desirable: Qualification in area of Management / Engineering /Law.
    iv) Experience of working in P-Office system. in A Chartered or Cost Accountant degree or diploma for the post of Deputy Registrar (Finance & Accounts) or Deputy Registrar (internal Audit).
Assistant Registrar
  • Educational :Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA / UGC point scale with good academic record from a recognized University / Institute. Or Employees serving as Superintendent (SG-I) / Private Secretary (NFG) in PB-2, GP of Rs.5400/- with at least two years regular service or Superintendent (SG-II) / Private Secretary (NFG) in PB-2 GP of Rs.4800/- with at least five years regular service with Masters degree.
  • Desirable :
    i) Qualification in area of Management / Engineering / Law.
    ii) Experience of working in E-Office system.
    iii) A Chartered or Cost Accountant for the post of Assistant Registrar (Finance EL Accounts).
Medical Officer
  • Educational :MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
  • Desirable :
    Post Graduate Qualification, preferably MD in General Medicine, or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
Students Activity & Sports (SAS) Officer
  • Educational :Master’s Degree in Physical Education or Master’s Degree in Sports Science or equivalent degree with at least 60% marks or its equivalent Grade in the CGPA / UGC point scale with good academic record from a recognized University /Institute. Record of having represented the University / College at the inter. University/Inter-Collegiate competitions or the State and/or national championships; Qualifying in the national-level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC and passed the physical fitness test conducted in accordance with these regulations.
  • Desirable :
    i) Experience in guiding group of students in creative activities.
    ii) Candidate with higher degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) In a relevant Discipline shall be preferred.
    iii) Record of organizing such events as student’s convener or in later part of life.
    iv) Record of strong involvement and proven track record of participation in sports and drama / music / films / painting / Photography / journalism event management or other student/ event management activities during college / University studies.
Technical Assistant
  • First Class or equivalent Grade in B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA in relevant subject from a recognized University / Institute.
    Or
    First Class Diploma in Engineering in relevant Field with excellent academic record
    Or
    First Class Bachelors Degree in Science from a recognized University or Institute
    Or
    Master’s Degree in Science from a recognized University or Institute with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade
SAS Assistant
  • (i) First Class Bachelors Degree in Physical Education from a recognized University or Institution.
    (ii) Strong record of participation in sports and drama / music / films / painting / Photography / journalism event management or other student/ event management activities during college / University studies.
Library and Information Assistant
  • Educational : First Class Bachelors Degree in Science /Arts/ Commerce from recognized University /Institute and Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science.
  • Desirable :
    Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking, PGDCA or equivalent from a recognized Institution.
Superintendent i) First Class Bachelors Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institute in any discipline Or Master’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institute with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade
ii) Knowledge of Computer applications viz., Word Processing, Spread Sheet.
Personal Assistant Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institute. Minimum speed of 100 p.m. In stenography.
Pharmacist (i) 10+2 in Science (PCB/PCM) subjects from recognized Board or University.
(ii) 2 Years Diploma with First class from an Institute recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India with minimum two years experience in any recognized hospital or pharmacy.
Or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma.)
(iii) Registered as Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1948.
Senior Assistant
  • Educational : Senior secondary (10+2) from a recognized board with a minimum Typing speed of 35 w.p.m. and proficiency in Computer Word Processing and Spread Sheet.
  • Desirable :
    Proficiency in other computer skills, stenography skills, Bachelors degree.
Senior Technician
  • Educational :Senior secondary (10+2) with Science from a recognized board with at least 60% marks
    Or
    Senior secondary (10+2) from a recognized board with at least 50% marks and ITI Course of one year or higher duration in appropriate trade.
    Or
    Secondary (10) with at least 60% marks and ITI Certificate of 2 years duration in appropriate trade.
    Or
    Diploma in Engineering of three year’s duration in relevant field from a recognized Polytechnic / Institute.
  • Desirable :
    Bachelor’s degree
Technician Senior secondary (10.2) with Science from a Government recognized board with at least 60% marks

NIT Puducherry

  • National Institute of Technology Puducherry (NITPY), nestled in the scenes of Karaikal, a coastal enclave in the basin of river Kaveri is one among the ten new NITs in the Union Territory of Puducherry. Notwithstanding the tender age, NIT-Py is committed to produce effective and responsible technocrats who have the ability to serve the nation on its journey to growth and prosperity. In this process, students have been admitted from the academic year 2010-11 onwards through JEE Mains with 50% of seats reserved for the candidates having residence/native at Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, Yanam and the remaining 50% seats are filled on all India basis. The institute provides keen guidance in terms of experienced and expert faculties as well as facilities to sculpt the bright minds into professionally balanced individuals, capable enough to take up challenges of nature, of society and of the marketplace. Presently, 61 faculty members along with 36 non-teaching staff are employed for an overall strength of 1250 students.
