Indian Air Force AFCAT 02/2025 Recruitment: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released Notification No. AFCAT-02/2025 dated 27.05.2025 at afcat.cdac.in for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT-02/2025), recruiting 284 posts in Flying Branch, Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical), and NCC Special Entry for courses commencing in July 2026. Eligible unmarried Indian citizens (men and women) can apply online from 02.06.2025 at 11:00 AM to 01.07.2025 at 11:30 PM to join as Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officers in the IAF.
Indian Air Force AFCAT 02/2025 – Qualification Details
Flying Branch (AFCAT Entry)
10+2 with 50% marks each in Maths and Physics; Graduation (3 years) in any discipline with 60% marks or B.E./B.Tech. (4 years) with 60% marks from a recognized university.
10+2 with 50% marks each in Maths and Physics; 4-year B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics/Computer Science/Instrumentation or equivalent with 60% marks, or cleared Section A & B of AMIE/Aeronautical Society of India with 60% marks.
10+2 with 50% marks each in Maths and Physics; 4-year B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent with 60% marks, or cleared Section A & B of AMIE/Aeronautical Society of India with 60% marks.
Ground Duty Non-Technical – Administration
Graduation (3 years) in any discipline with 60% marks from a recognized university.
Ground Duty Non-Technical – Accounts
B.Com (3 years) with 60% marks from a recognized university.
Ground Duty Non-Technical – Logistics
Graduation (3 years) in any discipline with 60% marks from a recognized university.
Ground Duty Non-Technical – Education
Passed 10+2 and Post-Graduation with 50% marks in any discipline including integrated courses offering PG (Single degree without permission to exit and lateral entry) and with 60% marks in Graduation in any discipline
Ground Duty Non-Technical – Meteorology
Post-Graduation in Science (Physics/Maths) with 50% marks; 10+2 with 50% marks in Maths and Physics or four year Graduation in Engineering/Technology.
NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch)
NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ Certificate; 10+2 with 50% marks each in Maths and Physics; Graduation (3 years) with 60% marks or B.E./B.Tech. (4 years) with 60% marks.
Note: Qualifications must be from AICTE/UGC-recognized institutions. Final-year students may apply if they have no backlog and can provide degree certificates by 15.06.2026. Candidates must submit originals/self-attested copies during verification.
Indian Air Force AFCAT 02/2025 – Age Limit Details
Flying Branch (AFCAT/NCC Entry): 20–24 years as on 01.07.2026 (born between 02.07.2002 and 01.07.2006, inclusive). Upper age limit for candidates with a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by DGCA (India) is relaxed to 26 years (born between 02.07.2000 and 01.07.2006, inclusive).
Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical): 20–26 years as on 01.07.2026 (born between 02.07.2000 and 01.07.2006, inclusive).
Marital Status: Candidates below 25 years must be unmarried at course commencement. Widows/widowers/divorcees below 25 are ineligible.
Visit the official website afcat.cdac.in and click on “Candidate Login” from 02.06.2025 at 11:00 AM.
Register as a new user with a valid, active email ID and mobile number, which must remain active until the recruitment results are announced for updates from IAF.
Log in using the registration number and password, then select the desired post (Flying Branch, Ground Duty Technical/Non-Technical, NCC Special Entry).
Fill the online application form with accurate personal details, educational qualifications, and branch preferences. Upload scanned documents: 10+2 certificate, graduation/B.E./B.Tech. mark sheets, NCC ‘C’ Certificate (if applicable), recent passport-size photograph, signature, and thumb impression.
Pay the application fee of Rs. 550/- + GST for AFCAT Entry through online modes (debit/credit card, UPI, net banking). NCC Special Entry candidates are exempt.
Submit the application by 01.07.2025 at 11:30 PM. Save the registration number and print the application form for reference.
