SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment 2026 – Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the post-specific qualification as on the crucial date. Broadly, Diploma / Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Computer Science, Telecom or related disciplines from a recognized University / Institute is required. Some posts require additional experience of 2–3 years. Detailed post-wise qualifications are available in the official notification.

• Most JE (Civil) posts: Degree in Civil Engineering OR 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering (+ experience where prescribed)
• Most JE (Electrical / Mechanical) posts: Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering OR 3-year Diploma (+ experience where prescribed)
• JE (Telecom) – DoT: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / ECE / Computer Science / Telecom / IT / Instrumentation
• Scientific Assistant – IMD: Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Electronics / IT / related fields
