CPCB Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria
- Scientist-D: First class Master’s in Environmental Science / Natural Science OR First Class Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology (Environmental / Chemical / Civil / Energy & Environment / Biotechnology) + Cumulative impact factor of published papers ≥ 10 (UGC CARE / Scopus) OR Minimum 5 Book / edited book chapters with ISBN OR Minimum 5 Technical Reports by CPCB/SPCB. Experience: 7 years in prevention, control & abatement of river/industrial pollution, sewage management and environmental management.
- Scientist-C: Same educational qualification as Scientist-D with cumulative impact factor ≥ 7 OR Minimum 3 Book chapters / Technical Reports. Experience: 5 years in relevant field.
- Scientist-B: First class Master’s in Environmental Science / Natural Science OR First Class Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology (relevant streams) + Valid GATE score (90%ile & above) / NET-JRF. Experience: 3 years in relevant field (research/teaching also considered).
- Assistant Manager (Finance): First class Master’s Degree in Commerce (Finance & Accounting / Taxation) / Chartered Accountant / MBA (Finance & Accounting). Experience: 8 years post-qualification experience including tax, Tally/QuickBooks, payroll, TDS/GST/PF/ESI returns etc.
- Administrative Assistant: First Class Bachelor Degree with working knowledge of computers + Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in administration in Govt./PSU/Autonomous bodies (in 4200 GP or equivalent). Must pass skill test based on noting & drafting. Desirable: First Class Post-Graduation.
- Scientific Assistant: First class Master’s in Environmental Science / Natural Science OR First Class Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology (relevant streams) + Valid GATE score (90%ile & above) / NET-JRF.
- Taxonomist: First Class M.Sc. Desirable: Master’s in Botany or Zoology with minimum 75% + GATE/NET-JRF + Impact factor ≥ 7 or Book chapter / Technical Report.
- Data Entry Operator: First class Bachelor Degree in Science / BCA. Must pass skill test in MS Office + English typing @45 wpm and Hindi typing @35 wpm.
- Field Assistant: Passed 10+2 in Science with minimum 55%. Knowledge of water / wastewater sampling and sample preservation.
