TN TRB Recruitment 2024 – Educational Qualification details

Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT)	Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2- years Diploma in Education (Special Education) Graduation & 2-years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
Applicants Passed in the Tamilnadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper – I	Provided that a person with D.Ed (Special Education) qualification shall undergo, after appointment, an NCTE recognized 6 months special programme in Elementary Education.

The upper age limit for the Applicants belonging to General Category for appointment by direct recruitment to this selection is 53 years of age as on the 01.07.2024.
The upper age limit for the Applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Class Muslims, Backward Classes, MBC/DNC and DW of all castes is 58 years of age as on the 01.07.2024.
